Behind the scenes at the Asda Spring/Summer Show 2014

You know you’ve got it pretty good when you can eat, drink and socialise until your heart is content all day, every day AND get paid for it! I’m painting quite a glamourous picture, but when it comes to my job, I know I am one very lucky lady to work in food and drink PR for Asda.

Last week saw all hands on deck as we laid on a spectacular feast for a wide range of media – from national newspapers to women’s lifestyle and food specialising journalists, they all popped by to see what new food and drink products Asda had to showcase for spring/summer 2014.

Here’s a little selection of images from the day. All of these brand new BBQ, picnic and sweet treats will be hitting stores from the end of March through until mid-June. My favourite products that I’ve tried so far, are the delicious (and healthy) Extra Special Globe Stuffed Courgettes – see upcoming Desk Side Lunches – and the naughty but very, very nice Chosen by you Giant Jazzie Donut Cake, £2

Another fabulous product is the new Fish Made Simple Seabass Fillet with Sundried Tomato filling – exceptional value as there are two fillets per pack for £4! Simply pop in the oven for 15mins, steam some veg or spinach as a side and dinner is served. A great new way to eat fish, without the fuss.

NB. I work on behalf of Asda’s London PR agency however have not been paid or persuaded to write this post. Simply seeing (and tasting) lots of the products on the day was enough for me to want to share these images with you all. Any questions about any of the products, please do feel free to leave your comment below.

  1. What  a lavish venue – looks terrific but how come you didn’t lift Gnorman for me!!  I must get one.  There is a strawberry plant that needs some special tending to by such a little helper.
