Taste of London: my day in pictures

Here is a ‘flavour’ of my day at Taste of London, the original food festival held every year in Regents Park during June. It was my first visit and it certainly won’t be my last!

I was lucky enough to attend the day with work but for normal punters, tickets cost around £30 each. If you are keen to get a slice of the action, Taste of London Winter will be held at East London’s Tobacco Dock from 20th – 23rd November 2014.

Highlights include getting up close and personal with Michel Roux Jr, Gizzi Erskine and Theo Randall; trying miniature portions some of the UK’s best Michelin starred and highly thought after restaurants’ signature dishes such as Le Gavroche, Maze, Salt Yard, SushiSamba, MeatLiquor and Gaucho not to mention all of the foodie gifts that I brought home (shout out for the Little Black Bomber cheese from Snowdonia Cheese, the vanilla custard filled doughnut from Justin Gellatly and the chilli ginger beer drink from France, Pimento – certainly three of the best things I tried that day.)

THAT GIRL’S TOP TIP: TAKE LOTS OF CASH WITH YOU (as well as buying the Taste of London currency ‘crowns’ once you get inside). Many of the food stalls only accept crowns, but some will only accept cash, so having a good mix of both is certainly worthwhile as there are no cash machines once you enter the festival. This certainly curbed my spending once I was inside!
